To Go Where Your VisionPoints, a few inspiration points for you and your business.
Too many people think only of their own profit. But business opportunity seldom knocks on the door of self-centered people. No customer ever goes to a store merely to please the storekeeper.

How true this is! It reminded me to remember why I started my freelance editing biz in the first place: to improve communication and help people say what they want to say. Lately, I’ve been so focused on the business and its growth but I’ve been fixed on the lack of clients and the money not coming in — i.e., the wrong thing. That hardly attracts new clients, of course. Thanks for turning me in the right direction again!

Steph,
Great comment. As I chose this week’s Inspiration Point, I was thinking of how many business owners start with “I want to help people do X,” and how few seem to be living that Vision only a few years later. I’m glad the quotation grabbed you in exactly the way Mr. Inamori meant it.
I hope it helps!

Kelly

That’s why the best blogs, are the best blogs too. The best *anything*, for that matter. The reader or customer feels as though they are welcome and valued.
(PS – your blog is like that.)

Brett,
That’s it. Not “What do I need to say today,” but “What do folks need to read today.”
Well, mostly. Occasionally it’s just what I need to say, lol.
Even when I do that, I try to write with an angle toward how tackling this subject can help readers.
Thanks as always for the kind words!
Regards,
Kelly
