I’ll See You in Sydney—House Party!
While Jacob’s finishing up the Grand Tour, I’ve been invited to house-sit again this week, and I gotta tell you—today, his house is rockin’.
Please take a moment right now to click over to 7 Female Graphic Designers That’ll Rock Your Socks Off Though they may be fewer in number, women in design are making strong contributions to the bottom lines of businesses around the globe with fresh work that hits the target (market) every time, and wouldn’t you know, I’m always on the lookout for the best of the best. Fresh perspective; amazing work; profitable results for their clients. Who doesn’t want that?
If you missed my raving about Just Creative Design with my last guest post, let me tell you that my favorite European traveller Jacob Cass has got a fresh perspective of his very own. He rocks my socks off weekly with insights, design work, and resources that you’ll find nowhere else on the www. I highly recommend you become a devoted fan.
Remember, Jacob and I are looking forward to your comments about these 7 Female Graphic Designers, so head on over now!

P.S. Just for the ladies (and the men who love them): Milton Glaser says Women Will Never Be Rock Star Designers. Have a read (after you’ve checked out Just Creative Design, of course!), then c’mon back and have your say.

Whoa. I had not seen that Glaser article. Shades of one of my professors!!!!
Ooops, I had to delete what I was typing….
Let’s just say, gee thanks Milton for shoving us back to the dark ages…..it’s a good thing he’s a top notch designer, bet that was a fun room to be in afterwards…maybe he just doesn’t get out much anymore.
Loved the post at JCD! Thanks for the heads up. I have to go look longer again later. I could get all shiny silver thing distracted . Some terrific goodies there.

Janice,
Intense, eh? I told Jacob, go ahead and use the link, but prepare to burn down your blog. He demurred, but I’m not worried. Oh, I love his work, but deep down it appears that Glaser’s a dinosaur.
When I wrote the post for JCD this spring, I knew who would be included, basically, but oh, Bright Shiny Object Syndrome had me. What I thought would be a quick post resulted in chasing link after link after… hey, where’d my Saturday go? It was fun and I’m pleased with the results, but I won’t recommend trying to distill an entire field like that to others. Whew!
That’s one of my favorite things about Jacob’s blog. He does quite a few posts distilling aspects of design on the www for his loyal minions, and I don’t have to lose a Saturday trying to discover new gems. I just get the nitty-gritty from him.
Regards,
Kelly

Hi- Just dashing in between things. re: JCD I love sites that do that for us, point us to the good stuff. Hm. Kind of like this one. I could get lost for awhile.
And I love Glaser’s work…of course now there’s a whole other dimension to it when I look …thanks.

Oh man. I just realized we’re hear talking about the MAN, not the great women you highlighted. Silly me. Need to make another trip back to the links when I can appreciate the things they do even more. I buy those crackers, it is so neat to see who does the packaging.
I love packaging.

Janice,
It ain’t right. Glaser gets plenty of press on his own.
Louise Fili is incredible. I could have done an entire post on her. If you feel like wandering in brilliance, do check out her website (link at JCD).
Later,
Kelly
