Paul,

That post is great! If that doesn't make a few more people run out and get a copy I don't know what will.

--Click over to Idea Sandbox, folks, Paul's stuff is always worth the read.--

I originally got the book out from my library... three times in a row... which it turns out is their limit. I never knew libraries had a limit! That was when I knew I had to go buy it—I could barely part with the library's copy. :)

Thanks for stopping by, as always!

Regards,

"Why Johnny Can't Brand" I especially recommend because Bill helps you to make your product / service / business "remarkable" by identifying the DSI, or dominant selling idea.

In fact, if you want a preview of Bill's approach, I did a post about it here:

Graham,

Going to peek at those on Amazon now. I'm due for a big bunch of new reads.

Brett,

Glad you got some beach time. I hope you all came back tanned and relaxed.

Regards,

I was so busy reading at the beach, I didn't have a chance to come by and comment until now... ;)

(Actually I was at the beach - just staring at the clouds.)

Good list here - I'll have to pick one and check it out.

These may be dated, but I like:

The End of Marketing as We Know It by Sergio Zyman
A Big Life in Advertising by Mary Wells Lawrence

They are not exactly Step 1, Step 2, Step 3 type books -- Lawrence's book especially, which is more sort of a memoir. But there is a lot of great information there when you read between the lines...
