To Go Where Your VisionPoints, a few inspiration points for you and your business.
A dreamer is one who can only find his way by moonlight,
and his punishment is that he sees the dawn before the rest of the world.
—Oscar Wilde
Dreamers lead a a lonely life. Sometimes, it’s kinda profitable.
Benjamin Franklin. Thomas Edison. Phil Knight. Richard Branson. Steve Jobs. And you?
When you look at the dawn, what do you see? Share with us below….

Janice,
I never know if Blog-o-land is a really small world or a really big place. But sometimes, there’s plenty of coincidence, that’s for sure.

I see possibilites when I see the dawn…it feels kind of good to be up a little bit before everyone else except the bakers. But I am glad they are up too. I like croissants a lot. But it does feel like some time out of time to me. Really nice.

Janice,
I wrote one a while back about the bakers. Yes, I’m glad of them. I’m glad that I’m able to sleep later than they can, too. Old body won’t put up with 4 am shenanigans.
Daughter and I were discussing the metaphorical dawn as I was getting this one ready. She had the whole image of Steve Jobs in his garage, figuring out Apple with friends and family thinking he and Wozniak were a couple of nutters, swirling around in her head. “Pretty lonely changing the world, huh?” she said. Yes, but well worth it in the end.
Unless of course you are a nutter, he he.
Until later,
Kelly

I LOVED that article..very very wonderful moments like those are just the best. Capture that and Proust will do your business for you.
Your little person is quite the wise one.

Note to self: compliment people on their kids. It’s irresistable!

Look at the dawn? You are kidding right?! Or is that one of those metaphor things? I dream of living on a boat and writing. Profitable? Boy, I sure hope so. Boats are expensive!

I love to wake up every morning to watch the sunrise. It is my own private time before everyone wakes up. I use it for my meditation and quiet time. A big part of my creativ time happens when the sun is breaking through the sky!

Panther,
Metaphor, like what do you *know* is going to be big that no one else understands yet. (I have no insider info on when Thomas Edison got up in the morning, LOL.)
Now that daughter is older, I can tell you I see very few dawns unless I can’t sleep, or unless it’s the dead of winter and dawn has become more reasonable and stretched out a hand to meet me.
Wendi,
See, I appreciate that literal dawn stuff, but I’d far rather read about you enjoying it, than actually enjoy it myself. You can inspire me all you want, but you can’t make me set my alarm any earlier.
Until later,
Kelly

For me dawn is the potential of great things to come. I just love getting up feeling energized and ready to take on the world.

This reminds me of that old quote: “He who is one step ahead is a genius; he who is two steps ahead is a crack pot.”
Personally, I’m happy letting others get up at dawn and telling me if it’s nice out, before I decide if I’m ready to get out of bed. An early adopter I am not.

Lion,
One of my favorite sayings is from a Lou Reed song: “Beginning of a great adventure.” Every day is just that (though I’ll gladly let you find out at dawn, and I’ll check in an hour or so later).
Lindsay,
That is a new one on me. Very funny!
I hear you, the cutting edge is a scary place, but oh, the joy of knowing you’ll soon have the world talking about something new! That’s quite a lure.
Thanks for your comment, and welcome!
(Great title on your post, by the way. Isn’t CommentLuv great?)

It’s been an extremely long time since I watched the Dawn! I think I need to find a time soon to do so.
Thanks for the reminder!

I must be destined for this, then. I see the dawn every day, before anyone else I know…

Brett,
Welcome back!
With the army you’ve got, if you didn’t see the dawn every day I wonder how you’d ever find a moment to yourself. Correlation between large broods and visionaries?
(So she looks it up…) Franklin—4 kids; Edison—6 kids; Knight—3 kids; Branson—2 kids; Jobs—4 kids. Do kids create visionaries or do visionaries create kids? More study is necessary!
Until later,
Kelly
