LOL, Friar, I've seen you get twice as pessimistic afterwards as you were optimistic before, if it doesn't go your way.

Mmm, bacon. My favorite breakfast is homemade waffles, fresh strawberry-syrup, and bacon or sausage. Any time of day. (The kid loves breakfast at nighttime, and I must agree with her.)

Now I'm hungry.

@Alex

I get optimistic about breakfast too...but it has to involve bacon.

If it's just toast or oatmeal....MEH. :-(

Alex,

I love your Dad for more than just his gorgeous genes now!

Though I do love breakfast, I don't get up excited for it. I'll get right to work on that. How cheery!

James,

Each one makes us who we are. What can be better than that?

Just because the last 29 are the hardest, doesn't mean we can't make the most of every one. I'm a bit Pollyanna like that, and proud of it.

Psst... Friar...

I tried to find a good Marconi quote to follow this up, because you got me thinking about him, and guess what?

The guy never said a single interesting thing in his life. Blah. (Nothing that interested me, anyway.) No Marconi quote for MCE.

Until later,

Kelly

Every day is a great day, even the ones that sucked. There's always something good that happened, and I'm glad to be alive :)

My father gets up in the morning excited because he gets to eat breakfast. He loves breakfast.

Now that's optimism at its best.

Friar,

Well, I was always happy as a clam up north in February, but I'm cheerful like that about long months with low light and crackling fires that finally become too much of a chore and such.

Tesla was a weird dude (the kid's doing a report on him)—it seems he really only liked to starting things. I guess months was no exception, but for the fact that you can't hand your month off to someone else to execute!

Good luck with both your cars!

Later,

@Kelly

I dunno...February is one of my favorit winter months. It's not as consistently cold as January. And the days start to get noticeable longer.

But up here in the Great White North, you never know what you're gonna get each month. (We just had another foot of snow yesterday).

@Panther
My transmission is making high-pitched whiny sounds (especially in the cold weather). I'm taking my car into the shop after work today. (Mabye it's having sympathy pains for your car!)

Friar,

February s**ks. Ask any northerner. Snow is no longer cute and novel, it's a big pain and your new ergonomic shovel's busted.

Oh, wait, you are any northerner. You'll have to talk to Nikola on March first!

Panther,

It's come to that, has it? A physical store? Well, I hope the engine puts on its happy face, and don't worry, you won't have to face too many crowds!

(Darned optimists!)

Regards,
