Wednesday Words
To Go Where Your VisionPoints, a few inspiration points for you and your business.
If you don’t know where you’re going, you’ll end up somewhere else.
—Yogi Berra
So, you got your map started. You know where you are. Where are you going? Where would you like to be in a month? Share your short-term plans here!
We’ll do more short-term thinking next time.
Grow and be well,

I tell you, whenever I see Yogi Berra’s name, my mind instantly goes, “Heeeeeyyyyy Boo-boo! Let’s go get some pick-a-nick baskets!!!”
Map – check.

Brett,
(Poor Yogi. Let’s bet you’re not the only one. He’s infinitely more quotable, though.)
And you don’t have to tell me: short-term plans? Brett is the king! Way to keep from going somewhere else!

Kelly

Hah!
Never has anyone been quoted as much as Yogi Berra.
He always got the words wrong, but they always seemed to end up coming out sounding right.
(He was Smarter than the Aver-Rage Bear!)

Kelly,
It must be a Freudian thing or something…
Funny though, you can find this concept anywhere – even kids are learning it.
For instance – Dora the Explorer and The Map.
“Who do we call when we don’t know which way to go? Right! The Map”
(cue funky bassline)
“If there’s a place you gotta go, I’m the one you need to know, I’m The Map…”

@Brett
I enjoy watching Dora, about as much as I enjoy watching Caillou.
(I’m more of a Sponge-Bob man, myself!)

@Friar – Yes, someone should give those parents a child-raising map. Like, what child whines as much as Caillou? “But mooommmyyy, me and Gilbert wanted to play outside!” “Okay, Caillou, but only if it will stop you from whining…”
But back on topic (horror and shivers)…
Short term — finish up a couple of larger projects, tweak my website, and then start putting together my own long-term map!
As Yogi Berra might say: “It’s not started until it’s started…”

Didn’t Yogi also say “It aint’ over till it’s over”. ?
PS. Watch what you say about Caillou over here. (Kelly is a big fan.)

@Friar – lol – exactly. ‘Cept I inadherently cleaned up the spellings…
BTW, thanks for the tip on Kelly and Caillou. Great kid. I have posters and puzzles and games with his visage on it. Un-freaking believable, that show.

(We are into marathon Freakazoid here at the moment. But I am a big fan of Yogi and Boo Boo. )

(Sung in the tune of the Theme Song from Caillou:)
I’m just a little brat
I shaved the neighbour’s cat
Someone should spank me, I’m Caiiiii-Yoo.
I like to scream and fuss
I ride the Little Bus
They tell me I’m an accident, I’m Caiiii-Yoo.

Friar,
Your short-term goal is to cause trouble…
and your long-term goal is to make me love you for it?
Did I get it right?
Brett,
Dora learned everything she knows from me.
Graham,
Thank goodness somebody (somewhat) plays along with me.
& yes, I do like Caillou. While MCE’s Canadian Contingent stays firmly ensconced north of the border (whew!), he’s my favorite export.
You probably don’t have any more room for Caillou gear, but there’s a very cute Gilbert doll in my daughter’s room that I can loan you if you’re wishing…
Janice,
Whoa. I mapped it, then looked around. Trés Texas!
Marathon Freakazoid sounds pretty volatile. Tread lightly when we pass by Dallas if Janice is hard at work!

Kelly

Janice,
Oh my goodness! Never heard of it. That is one funny intro.
Better than picturing you out-of-control with your pinks, LOL!
Until later,
Kelly

Yes it’s a Spielberg show that came out about the time Pinky and the Brain did.
Me out of control with my pinks is a whole ‘nuther soundtrack… real romantic like, doncha know.
Later.
