No, this is not a Twitter question.

Though it might be a neat one. Bear with me—I do not want to talk about your customers today, but it does affect the Customer Experience that you deliver!

Where am I sitting? I’m in a desk chair right now, swiveling away from my computer to a piece of scrap paper to write this.

(Yeah, I write most of my posts by hand. Though the computer’s right in front of me. Kinda funny, I know.)

But it’s not the chair, really, that I was thinking of. I’m sitting on the last 6 inches or so of the chair, fully forward, not using the back or the armrests. It occurs to me that I almost never sit back in this chair.

Well, you’re probably really engaged in what you’re doing, Kelly.

Not always—who could be? I’m at the front of my chair, sitting up straight, feeling the energy of a wonderful flow of oxygen through my body. The posture makes me feel engaged. Being engaged makes me feel like sitting forward, perpetually expecting to be interested and excited. Expecting it makes it happen….

No metaphor here at all.

Take a look at your tush right now—and make a small move that can help you deliver Maximum energy to your day.

Where are you sitting?

Grow and be well,

Kelly Erickson

P.S. It’s not about the chair, but if you don’t have a good one, you really should do your bones a favor and get one. Treat yourself as well as you’d treat a customer.
