the fat woodpecker

banging head against a wall
=determination
or stupidity
only time will tell which for some of us
but he just KNOWS
he’s got the right tree
and his prey are nearly within his grasp
I KNOW, too (or so I tell myself)
gives me an air of confidence
could be I’m just extra-stupid
determination:
how about you?
(pardon me for not feeling like full paragraphs today)
Grow and be well,
Kelly Erickson

My forehead hurts and I’m hungry. What does that tell you about me?

Francis,
Mm, yes. That’s about where I was before I saw Mr. Birdy. Then I watched him for a bit and I had words for my feeling.
I hear you.
Let’s keep at it a while longer. I think I KNOW, I think I KNOW…
Regards,
Kelly

Coming over to peck away too….I LOVE THIS. Just went after a new interior designer whose clients should be SOOOO happy to get some of my work…. may be way beyond my reach but hey, PECK PECK PECK…
( Okay you do know what those Canadians are going to do with this don’t you? I’ll go all Audubon on them to keep it classy.)

Janice,
Funny how determination vs. thick skull can only be seen in hindsight. Unless you’re lucky enough to have been born with the fat woodpecker’s instincts. I’m completely jealous of him.
On your second point… I thought of going wrong, wrong, in the title, to save others the trouble. I might have gotten more traffic, LOL, but we’re (usually) running a quality establishment here!
Until later,
Kelly

Classy establishment? I can fix that y’know…..
Bwah-hah-hah!
Had a break-hrough today, although it was not following this posts advice. Sometimes you have to keep banging away with the cranium. Brute force and determination managed to fix it for me today.
I’ll try subtly and grace tomorrow. I have a management meeting….. time to brush up on my effing, bloody, gall darnit swearing. (I edited that myself to save you the trouble)

The moral here is right tools for the right job.
You need to be a bird with a tiny brain and thick skull to be able to pound your head into a log over and over.
Just like you need to be a 20 foot gorilla to peel a giant inflatable banana.

Francis,
See, I would say that was using the lesson here.
I can’t make up my mind whether I want to take my own not-quite advice or chuck it. Though the woodpecker gave me a little more momentum. Must—stay—focused—
Good luck with the subtlety and grace thing. L-O-L.
Friar,
I need a thicker skull?
That’s where I’ve been going wrong. I thought that was a negative. Okay, take two…
Later,
Kelly

That meeting SUCKED! I ended up just listening and responding with monosylabic words when I was asked a question. Can these people really be in charge?
They are so busy measuring their members that don’t see that no one is driving the bus.
Now where is that pull cord, I want to get off at the next stop.
