Graham,

I believe without pumpkin pie on the table, we're in danger of arrest on Thanksgiving. Yes yes, it's a must-have.

And in Connecticut, where half my family's from?

I'll faint at the thought of your sister not having pumpkin ready for any year-round occasion in the cupboard. It simply isn't done. ;)

Wendi,

Thank you. And may you have a picture-perfect meal, and a day full of grace with your family and friends.

Chocolate! I knew I forgot something!!

Until later,

Kelly

Did someone say pumpkin pie?

I didn't know you ate that in the States. In fact I seem to remember my sister in Connecticut searching for tinned pie mix and coming up empty (though that might have been for Canadian Thanksgiving, so no pumpkin in the stores yet...)

Yes, one of the top-three desserts of all time. I've even had it as my birthday cake once. Luckily, I live with the the world's premiere pumpkin pie maker -- not sure if that's a blessing in disguise, but I'm certainly thankful for it.

James,

LOL. I never thought of it like that. How brilliant for you!

I'll be around to count blessings if you need me, but I'm not sharing my pumpkin pie. :)

Regards,

Tomorrow, it's Thanksgiving in the US. The internet, for us Canadians, will quickly become as vacant as high school hallways during summer vacation.

Blessings in disguise...

I get to play guitar, read books and go have fun outside for four days until everyone decides to come back to class.

:)
