It’s ironic that retailers and restaurants live or die on customer service, yet their employees have some of the lowest pay and worst benefits of any industry. That’s one reason so many retail experiences are mediocre for the public.
A follow-up to yesterday’s article: If good staff have been hired (I hate to say it but it seems too often that such a hiring is accidental), how long can we expect them to stay without good wages? How many more Maximum Customer Experiences would staff try to create if they were given the respect of excellent pay?
