Wednesday Words

To Go Where Your VisionPoints, a few inspiration points for you and your business.

Beggar that I am, I am even poor in thanks; but I thank you;
And sure, dear friends, my thanks are too dear a halfpenny.
—William Shakespeare (Hamlet, to Rosencrantz and Guildenstern)

Today, I feel like I’ve got a good excuse to share some of the things that give me power and persistence. It’s worth taking time once in a while to be out-loud grateful, and I’ll bet this list is a lot like yours:

I’m grateful for my daughter, my mother, my father, my dear family and my amazing friends, and for all the bounty they bring into my life every day through their hugs and their inspiration

I’m grateful for nature, always providing a daily art museum for a person who needs beauty and surprise with her always

I’m grateful for silly things… like crossword puzzles and French dictionaries and Radiolab from NPR and my favorite black flats and mechanical pencils and Scott Hamilton and my treadmill and autumn in New York and roses and risotto

I’m grateful for my health, my patience, my voice, my strength, and my curiosity

and of course, I’m grateful for readers and clients like you!

If you’re in the U.S. and off to buy a last-minute turkey or a lovely bottle of riesling to go with it tomorrow, Happy Thanksgiving to you. And no matter where you are—thank you, dear reader, for spending time this year with me here at MCE. See you back here next week!

Grow and be well,

Kelly Erickson
